Hello friends, I am offering a special four week introduction to yoga workshop in my studio. The workshop begins on April 19 and ends on May 10; each session is 90 minutes long. I ask that you bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothes. This is a perfect opportunity for those who are new to Yoga and would like to try it out in a learning environment and those who perhaps haven’t practiced Yoga for a long long time and would like to come back back and see how it feels. 6 minute holds

I hear people say I could never do that, or I’d be bored.

1. If you think you can’t stay still for 6 minute, in silence, cultivate that by practicing. Caution: This skill will eventually carry over into your life. You will be calmer under pressure. You will be more measured in your reactions. You will live better.

2. If you’re bored, or worried a lot about being bored, refer to 1. This is a practice that cultivates patience, kindness, curiosity, self awareness to name a few skills that improve your life.

Today I was pondering life as I often do in box pose . . . And I was thinking how fortunate it is to be able to ponder life. To find space where no one will call you, where your phone is not on your person, where there is no expectation. . . At all. This is life its truest form. Just being. Sitting with whatever comes and knowing that this too shall pass.
